NALDP Mission

National Association of Legal Document Preparers, Inc. is a non-profit, professional organization whose mission is to advance and promote the practice of legal document preparers in all 50 states and ensure accessibility and affordability in the preparation of legal documents.

NALDP Vision

· National Association of Legal Document Preparers, Inc. strives to be the collective force influencing and shaping the independent legal document preparation industry.

· NALDP is dedicated to the principle that citizens have a constitutional right to represent themselves and seek assistance from the person of their choice in the preparation of their legal documents.

· NALDP seeks to be the leader in developing the highest standards of quality for efficient, effective and ethical legal document preparation practices and to have members sign a pledge to uphold those standards – first among those standards is that legal document preparers do not practice law.

· NALDP will oppose any efforts attempting to restrict the rights of citizens to represent themselves and to seek non-attorney assistance in the preparation of their legal documents.

· NALDP will work with local, state and federal policymakers to ensure that consumers have free-market access to affordable and reliable legal document preparation services.

· NALDP will educate consumers and the press about the value and proficiency of the legal document preparation industry.

· NALDP will establish mutually beneficial networks among its members and establish and maintain professional relationships with the legal community.
